Through my prenatal yoga classes, you can practice proper breathing techniques, pelvic floor work, gain more stamina, and learn postnatal yoga to help with the body as it is in transition. Pregnancy is one of the most extraordinary times in a woman's life. It is a time for nurturing mom, as well as connecting with the unborn child. It’s also time for learning to meditate and find inner focus with breath.

 

Prenatal Yoga classes provide safe movement designed to strengthen and relax the rapidly changing pregnant body, preparing one for childbirth and offer the opportunity for the mother and child to bond prior to birth.

 

Prenatal Yoga goes beyond the physical realm of movement and embraces pranayama/breathing techniques that relax the mind and give focus during times of stress as well as meditations that help a mother discover a deeper sense of peace, empowerment as well as lifting fear and doubt out of pregnancy and birth. Pregnant women coming together to prepare for birth creates a community of fellowship and support. Each class will have a theme designed to be uplifting and bring awareness.

 

In pregnancy, many changes are occurring for the expected mom. Pregnancy can be a time of immense spiritual growth. Prenatal Yoga class is designed to inspire and support such growth.

ARE YOU A TEACHER......

Shanti Mom Pregnancy Yoga Teacher Training is open to Yoga Instructors and Yoga students with a passion for working with pregnant women including: doulas, midwives, doctors, nurses, physical therapist and anyone else that works with pregnant women. You will gain the knowledge to teach techniques that are safe for pregnancy in a set sequence, elements of a prenatal class, pregnancy anatomy, condition contraindications and much much more.
